Sonus Paradisi offers an amazing Hauptwerk™ sample set of the world-renowned Jordi Bosch organ of Sant Andreu Apòstol in Santanyí (Mallorca, Spain). This organ was built in 1762, has two manuals and pedal, and 40 stops. The large-scale and richly decorated facade represents the spirit of an imperial era and at the same time the best preserved opus of the organ builder from Mallorca. Typical of the organ building school of the island is the Trompeteria, which includes no less than nine ranks (!!!) of pipes, which, thanks to the fan-like spread arrangement, radiates its sound to all corners of the church — Baixon to the east and Trompa magna to the west. In addition, the organ houses the world’s largest mixture with 22 to 25 ranks (!!!), in total 1,104 pipes!
The organ builder Jordi Bosch was two generations ahead of his European colleagues in some innovations. He invented double windchests, single stops (later called ‘appels’), bellows with pressure compensation and more.
The original sample set has left and right landscape jambs, but corresponding portrait jambs are missing. I created an extension that adds these missing portrait jambs.
The extension installs a new organ definition file (ODF) with a new UniqueOrganID (001985). It does not touch the original installation.
This extensions works with Hauptwerk™ 4 and Hauptwerk™ 5+.
